Bhajanpura metro station to open soon, In a big move, the Delhi government has approved Phase IV of the Delhi Metro. This new phase will add six new metro routes and 44 stations across the city, including the Bhajanpura Metro Station. The goal is to make travel easier for people and improve the metro network. This project, which covers more than 100 km, will connect growing areas in East, South, and Central Delhi, helping more people get around faster and more comfortably.
Phase IV of the Delhi Metro is a huge expansion by the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation). It includes six new corridors and over a total of 103.93 km.
Some corridors are already priority ones, set to be operational by 2026, while others are expected to be ready by 2028.
These new lines will bring metro access to many areas that currently have poor transport links. For example, Delhi Metro Pink Line Extension from Mukundpur-Maujpur will include Bhajanpura station.
There are also important connections like Janakpuri West to RK Ashram, Inderlok to Indraprastha, and the new Aerocity-Tughlakabad line among priority corridors.
The cost is large (around ₹24,948.65 crore) and part funding comes from JICA.
In addition, many interchange stations are planned so that people can switch between metro lines more easily.
How it will help the daily commuters?
For daily commuters, this expansion means shorter travel times, less congestion, and improved connectivity. If someone lives in Bhajanpura or nearby, they will now have faster access to the metro network and more options for commuting across Delhi. No more long waits or difficult last-mile travel.
Interchange stations planned under Phase IV will allow people to change from one line to another more conveniently, which reduces the need for detours. This helps someone going from East Delhi to South Delhi, or Central Delhi to outer areas. Overall, it will save both time and transport cost, and bring more comfort.
Soaring Property Prices in Bhajanpura Due to Metro Connectivity
With the approval of the metro line to include Bhajanpura in the Pink Line extension, real estate demand there is expected to shoot up. Areas near Bhajanpura station will become much more attractive for people who want easy metro access. Thus, plots in Bhajanpura and property in Delhi near metro corridors are likely to see steep price increases.
Prices In Bhajanpura Are Already High & Out Of Reach For the Common Man
Even before full metro operations begin, property prices in Bhajanpura have been climbing. Many plots in Bhajanpura are priced high. Affordable plots in Delhi, especially in Bhajanpura, are now hard for middle-income buyers to find.
Rising demand + improved infrastructure = higher rates. For many, the dream of owning a plot in Delhi in Bhajanpura seems out of reach.
