Burari Metro Station Starting Soon

Good news for North-East Delhi! Burari Metro Station is in its trial phase as part of the Pink Line Metro extension. The Phase 4 extension of the Pink Line, is set to open between 2025-26, which will have Burari, Sonia Vihar, Bhajanpura, Jagatpur Village and Jharoda Majra stations. This new stretch will bring improved metro connectivity to North and Northeast Delhi.

Phase 4 is a major venture being developed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which will comprise 44 new stations over three major corridors, one of which is the 12.3 km long Maujpur-Majlis Park corridor with eight stations: Sonia Vihar, Burari, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur Village, Soorghat, Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, and Yamuna Vihar.  A short portion of the corridor between Majlis Park and Jagatpur Village is 4.6 km long and is almost done, with trial runs beginning in December 2024.

This only represents the stations Burari, Sonia Vihar, Bhajanpura, Jharoda Majra and Jagatpur Village. The rest of the stations along this corridor are being completed and expected to be operational in 2025-2026.
