The Land Records computerisation programme is being implemented by the Land Record Information Systems Division, NIC, CGO Complex, New Delhi, and by the State Unit of Delhi, Players’ Building, New Delhi. This land information system will provide basic data entry of all plots and ownerships (Khatauni, Khasra Girdawari, Field Book, etc.), mutation, query and reports, and also provide journaling of proceedings under some of the important sections of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954.
The aspect of Digital Spatial Database development with correct digital maps with appropriate Geo-Referencing is also being pursued concurrently with the Utility Mapping Division of NIC, CGO Complex, New Delhi.
The attributes being computerised as RDBMS, as indicated above, would be linked to these maps for a Geographical Information System. For this purpose, a pilot project for digital map generation using aerial photographs is being pursued in two villages, one each of West District & South West District.
